Player Identification Practice (PIP)

The Sporting Iowa East Academy Program is for Quad Cities Area soccer players with a birth year between 2017 and 2015. The Academy is a next-level developmental program run by the Sporting Iowa East Pro-coaching staff and licensed volunteer coaches.

The Player Identification Practice is not a tryout. It's an opportunity for interested players to experience training sessions with our coaches and (for parents to) learn about the program and how to sign up.

Registration for the fall will be open immediately after the first session.

PIP Fees: Early bird $20 thru May 23rd; $30 After May 23rd

Check-In Information: Players need to arrive 15-20 minutes before their first tryout session to get checked-in & warm-up.

What to bring? Cleats, Shin Guards, Water, Soccer Ball, Tryout Training Shirt (will be given prior to or at check-in on the first day of training)

All teams are coached by the Sporting Iowa East Professional Coaching staff. Assignments are announced at tryouts. All of our coaches have experience playing and/or coaching soccer at a high level and we are committed to continued education with Director of Coaching Paul Dayrell offering licensing courses as an instructor for U.S. Soccer. 2024-2025 Birth Year/Age Group;

SIE 11U-19U  Select Soccer Program 2024-2025

There are two fees for participation with Sporting Iowa East:

1. Club Fee - Admin/Registration, TBK Rental Fee, Coaching
2. Team Fee - Cost per player for league and tournaments

 1. Club Fee: Admin/Registration, TBK Rental Fee, Coaching;

• 11/12U $270 fall, $270 spring = $540 yearly total
• 13/14U (15U 8th Grade) $300 fall. $300 spring = $600 yearly total
• 15U (9th Grade)-19U $400

2. Team Fee: Cost per player for league and tournaments

Team fees are a la carte and per season. Cost is divided among participating players (total cost of event divided by attending player). Fees are calculated after polls are completed and availability confirmed in July. All teams/players are charged a flat league fee

Each player registers with Sporting Iowa East (SIE) and is added to our inclusive club app/website PlayMetrics used for scheduling and communication. The club covers all practice costs for TBK rental and coaching for the fall and spring (11-12 weeks each).

Teams practice as follows (per week);

11/12U 2 x 90 minutes Fall and spring 11 week season
13/14U* 2 x 90 minutes  Fall and spring 11 week season
15U-19U 3 x 90 minutes Fall 12-13 Week season
*14U Pool will receive a bonus practice each week if they're training with the 15U (9th graders)

In addition to weekly team training the club provides additional skills training (x2) and Goalkeeper training (x2). Players and families have access to other resources and opportunities throughout the season through the Sporting Network. All aspects of admin and registration associated with the team are overseen and completed by the club. All events are presented and discussed with the teams and availability polling set up in PlayMetrics to determine schedules. Each player pays for the events they attend. Payments per player are added to their accounts after availability is gathered.

Coach has access to our age specific player development pathway and curriculum, with training sessions all uploaded into the PlayMetrics App for ease of execution.

13U-19U Compete in the Club Development League (CDL) and through our partnership with Sporting Iowa Central, players have access to the Elite Club National League (ECNL).

The CDL is a partnership between like minded clubs in Eastern Iowa and Central Iowa Clubs who meet certain criteria for standards, coach education and development.

We offer 2 in town events at the TBK:

Sporting Iowa East Fall Kick Off August 19-20
Champions Cup November 4-5

In addition to the local events we offer each team the option for 1-3 other 'travel' events (in Iowa or or the broader Midwest depending on the commitment/level of the team).

15U and older teams will be encouraged to attend College Showcase events as part of the overall game schedule.

All events are polled amongst the team in June and decisions on participation in the events are finalized at the beginning of July.
